Nicole first opened OmniHum Gallery when she was just 24 years old. She envisioned a space where people of all backgrounds and beliefs could come together and be inspired. A space that is not exclusive and feels accessible to the community, staying true and focused on the art being created by these New Mexico based artists. Nicole saw a need in Taos for the very talented artists, reflecting a different side of what it means to live in New Mexico to be represented.

"We know we have some of the most talented artists in the world, and because their work is so spiritual, visionary, esoteric, etc; there hasn't been a place around to show them. They are not southwestern, not quite contemporary or abstract; but rather speak to a different side of what people come to New Mexico for, the Enchantment. There's a rich history here of deeply spiritual art, starting at the pueblos and then the historical Retablos and Bultos made here. Now in the present New Mexico is also a destination for transformation; people come here to see these historic sites, soak in the hot springs, go on a meditation retreat. And I see it having a huge reflection on the sacred art that is being made here" - Nicole Butscher
